Snapshots: Fourth of July Holiday

A friend's cabin in Wisconsin, a spectacular golf course fireworks display in the middle of nowhere... it's the Fourth of July holiday in the United States. Swimming, grilled salmon, a country bar... the only problem was that everyone had to return home at the end of it to go back to work. A beautiful day's weather, up there with the best of them. All photos taken with a Motorola Razr V3xx camera phone, unless other photographer credited.

DOCKS AND DOGS
Chilling with the Roo Dog on the "Gir-raft". In the background, Texas Teena and Del6. Photo by Amy Hostermonkey.

Del6 a quarter second before hitting the water.

Roo will swim, but he's not sure about the diving-in part, as evidenced by his ears in this shot.
When the Roo gets wet, his neck hair looks like rooster feathers.

FIREWORKS ON A HIDDEN LAKE
Reminded me of the last scene in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

"If this were the last night of the world
What would I do?
What would I do that was different
Unless it was champagne with you?"
—Bruce Cockburn, "Last Night of the World".

L-R: Del6, Dunk, Tex, and the Senator.
